- Considering how large the word MAZES is on the cover of this book, I had thought there would be more than (maybe) 10 MAZES in the whole book.
This is primarily a COLORING BOOK, with about half the pages having a Minecraft character at a world landmark (hence the "geography" claim).
The other half of the pages are blank frames for drawing/doodling/whatever, or blank "word bubble" comic type pages for you to fill in as well.
I would never consider this a "school book" or as any part of curriculum but it could be a good time-filler for a younger child. We are leaving it in the car to bring to restaurants and other places where we need to wait. - Our son was thrilled to get another Thinking Tree Minecraft book! - My guys really like this book. It has Dyslexia Games in them which was a selling point for me. They help my dyslexic son with his reading & my other son be more attentive. They also have Minecraft coloring pgs of famous landmarks. my guys use these to then either google or look on Youtube to learn more about. There is also Comic book bubble pgs for them to use anyway that they want. sometimes they make a comic & sometimes they use them for notes or pictures they've printed of the landmark. An there is also mazes. So you see this book is full of possibilities !
- I got this for my son who is 4 but it was perfect for my daughter who is 6. We love the idea of classical conversation where kids are given just enough to spark curiosity and this book does that! I was looking for a book my younger guy could do and love all the right brain/ left brain activities. It leaves so much room for creativity too.
- With a big title graphic for this book "...MAZES..." I was pretty excited. My son (age 6) loves mazes and Minecraft. He was pretty disappointed that there were only 10 mazes in the entire book. It is mostly coloring pages, and other drawing puzzles. He completed all of the mazes within a few minutes and then did move on to drawing his own pictures in the pages left for those purposes.
- We are so excited to receive this book. We had printed the sample pages the author shared, and my son has been begging for more. There are so many different puzzles that promote critical thinking, as well as fun pictures to color and inspire creative story writing. The book quality is excellent!
- We homeschool two girls and this journal is perfect for when I am working with one child and the other has to wait for help. There aren't as many mazes as we would have liked, but the coloring pages are fantastic. My girls love minecraft and roblox so this is the perfect time filler. I love the logic games that are woven throughout the journal.
